"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship and to the breaking of bread and to prayer." Acts 2:42

We
were not made to live independent and isolated lives. Instead we are
created for community. As a result, Christ Community Church is
organized around Home Fellowship Groups. It is through these smaller
Home Groups that members of the larger body become intimately connected
to one another.
Christ Community Church’s Home Group ministry is
organized around specific geographic areas served by Christ Community
Church. This approach is intended to create a common place around which
members can connect to one another and better reach out to their
neighbors.
At this time, there are four Home Groups serving
the following geographic areas: Ashburn Village, Ashburn Farm, Belmont
Greene, Brambleton/Broadlands, and the Route 7 corridor. Church members
living outside of these communities may join a group near to them. Each
Home Group is led by a pair of qualified husband and wife teams with
the intent of creating new groups when the original group grows too
large.
What do Home Groups do? The answer to this question is
guided by the Home Group Framework by which all Home Groups operate.
This framework consists of a balance of the following components: Bible
Study, Mission, Prayer, Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Care,
Evangelism, and Service. Each component of the framework is reflected
in the activities of the Home Group throughout the year.
New
friends of Christ Community Church are encouraged to get connected to a
Home Group as soon as possible. It is the best way to become involved
in the life of the church and develop relationships with others.
