Men’s Ministry

As men, we have expectations to live up to. Society and tradition may tell us that we have to “bring home the bacon” or “be strong, you can’t show your emotions”. These expectations can be hard.

The bible lays out some expectations for men as well. Matthew 22 tells all christians to “Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.” It goes on to say “Love your neighbor as yourself.” In Titus 2, Paul tells us to be a Godly example and to “teach what is in accord with sound doctrine”. As husbands, the bible tells us “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her…”. And as fathers, we are commanded to “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

As evidenced by the Scriptures, we, as men, have many roles. And in those roles, we have certain biblical responsibilities. Friend, husband, father, and worshipper of the Living God. Join us as we learn about these responsibilities and live out these roles through bible study, over breakfast and in a variety of fun activities.
